Trip Highlights
Archaeological Walking Tour
Every Indigenous has its own legends of giants. We will follow in the footsteps of the legendary giant, Mawi. Exploring the past from the foot of the mountain and slowly step back into ancient times. We will listen to centuries-old migration stories with our ears, recognize cultures with our eyes, and uncover ancient secrets with our hands.
Archaeological Experience
Archaeologists have always been a mysterious job. Today, let professional instructors guide you to become a one-day archaeologist. From exploration to excavation, learn step by step and use your own hands to uncover the culture buried under ground.
Giant's Dining Table
Truku has many traditional dishes, each with a deep cultural history and labor significance behind the cultivation of ingredients, preparation of the dishes, and selection of cooking tools. According to the seasons and the growth characteristics of crops, we arrange different food and farming life experiences, such as bamboo rice, banana rice, and taro cakes. Starting from gathering in the mountains or fields, participants gradually learn about the Truku's forest wisdom and food and farming culture.

All our itineraries are suitable for all age groups. The walking routes are either flat or gently sloping, and the stream tracing routes are relatively easy. Akay has several experiences of recepting guests of all ages.
In experiential tourism, the most significant cost is labor. Therefore, regardless of whether it's adults or children participating, there is virtually no difference in our costs. However, for children aged 0-3, considering that parents are primarily responsible for their care during the main activities, we only charge for insurance, meals, and administrative fees.
Except for river tracing, all of our activities can still proceed in the rain. If it rains during a stream tracing activity, we can switch to other activities.
You may be tired. But won't be emotionally exhausted.
Our village covers both mountains and plains. Most of our people live in the plains. Do you want to find out the reason? Come and join us!
Although most of the residents in our village are of native descent, we, the Akay tribe, hold an open-minded attitude towards growing together. We welcome passionate individuals interested in our culture and ethnicity to join us. Therefore, we also have partners from other regions within our village. Furthermore, our village is adjacent to Hakka villages, making the demographics here very diverse and rich in heritage.
If your vehicle, including its load, exceeds 15 tons, please apply for road access from the Wanrong Township Office. For more details, please visit our website at traffic guidance
